One master comp becomes every version the client asks for. Recompose rearranges each element by its anchor instead of blindly cropping: 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, 16:9, or any size you need.
A simple crop works for centered footage. When there is text, logos and graphics near the edges, you need to rearrange.
It duplicates the master comp, resizes it and repositions every element by its anchor, preserving the margin to the edge. The title on top stays on top, the corner logo stays in its corner, and backgrounds scale to cover. This is where the real value of the plugin is.
It nests the master as a single layer scaled to cover (Fill) or to fit (Fit). It is non-destructive and changes to the master propagate on their own. For simple crops that do not need rearranging.
Everything runs locally inside After Effects: no servers, no accounts, and your footage never gets uploaded anywhere.
The four social presets (9:16, 1:1, 4:5, 16:9) plus any custom formats you define with your own dimensions, saved and ready for the next project.
Recompose works out whether each layer is anchored to an edge, a corner or the center, and keeps that margin when the format changes. If it gets one wrong, you fix it on a 3×3 grid without touching the comp.
Point it at a null or a layer and the framing follows it through the whole clip. It uses the native After Effects tracker, so it works just as well for faces, products or logos.
One button analyzes the clip and creates a null that follows the face, with the keyframes already smoothed. The AI runs on your own machine: no cloud, no API key, and your footage never leaves your computer.
Keyframes move along with the element, and parenting, masks, effects and expressions are all preserved because the comp is duplicated instead of rebuilt. You can also adjust the scale of your graphics format by format.
It queues the generated versions with their name and output folder, using whatever output module template you already have set up in your After Effects.
Your original comp is never touched: each format is generated separately, in its own project folder.
With the finished comp on the timeline, open the panel and load the layers. Recompose shows you the anchor it worked out for each one.
Check the formats you need, fix any anchors you want, and if the framing has to follow someone, point out the subject or let the AI detect it.
The preview renders one frame of each format without cluttering your project. When it looks right, generate, and optionally queue everything to the Render Queue.
The plugin already works end to end and is being tested on real projects before release. There is no date or price announced yet; when there is, it will be posted here and on the plugins page.
