Illustrator After Effects Photoshop Blender

BRIDGE by Horizon Entertainment

Move vector art, editable text, gradients and images between Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop and Blender with one click. Resending updates what is already there: it does not duplicate, and it does not break your keyframes.

Demo

BRIDGE in action

A walk through the real workflows: Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop and Blender, without exporting a single time.

Features

Everything you need to stop exporting by hand

No servers, no network setup: everything runs locally between your apps.

Illustrator → After Effects

Paths, gradients, editable text, images, groups, clipping masks and symbols, with 1:1 fidelity. Resending updates the same layer without touching keyframes or parenting.

After Effects → Illustrator

Shape layers and text selected in AE go back to Illustrator as native vectors. Resending updates the original item instead of duplicating it.

Photoshop → After Effects

Text layers and shape layers arrive editable (font, color, fill and stroke). Groups can arrive as precomps keeping their real hierarchy, and layer styles (drop shadow, glow, color overlay and stroke) are translated into After Effects effects. Everything else is rasterized in isolation, with alpha.

Illustrator ⇄ Blender

The same art travels to Blender as native 2D curves with gradients and text, and comes back as a 3D model (glTF/GLB) or as a still viewport render.

Recompose

Duplicates an After Effects composition and ALL of its nested precomps, as a 100% independent copy, without the "editing the copy edits the original" problem of a normal Cmd+D.

Manual tagging

A wizard shows you a thumbnail of each selected item so you can name and categorize it, one by one. No account, no API key, no internet: the category arrives in After Effects as a label color.

Layer tools

Ten utilities that work on your selection, right inside the After Effects panel: 2D and 3D parent nulls centered on the group, link and unlink without dragging the pick whip, move layers in and out of a precomp, align to center, distribute and lock position.

Anchor point

A 3×3 grid moves the anchor point to any corner, edge or the center of the layer, without opening the anchor tool. If the layer is animated, the motion path stays exactly where it is. Works the same on 3D layers.

Blender animation

Render the full animation and it arrives in After Effects as an image sequence, at your scene's real frame rate instead of the AE project's. Resending updates the same layer.

Install

Up and running in three steps

Works with Illustrator, After Effects and Photoshop 2024 or newer, and Blender 4.2 or above (macOS and Windows).

Download and install

Download the signed package and run the installer. It is added as an official Adobe Creative Cloud (CEP) extension in all three apps.

Restart the apps

Fully close and reopen Illustrator, After Effects and/or Photoshop.

Open the panel

Window → Extensions → BRIDGE in any of the Adobe apps. The panel automatically detects which one you are in.

Photoshop note: versions 2025 and newer require enabling "Load extension panels" in Settings → Plugins → Legacy extensions. On Apple Silicon Macs, Photoshop must run under Rosetta for that option to be available.
Blender note: Blender does not use CEP. Install the add-on from Edit → Preferences → Add-ons → Install and enable it. The BRIDGE panel shows up in the 3D viewport sidebar (N key).
